I made chocolate chip cookies on Saturday. It took a while, but they came out so perfect and tasty. The secret is to double the vanilla, increase the chocolate chips called for by 4 ounces and to use only Nestle semi-sweet morsels. No fancy chocolate! You can do it, but mine will beat yours every time in a taste test.
I haven't made them in a while and even I was surprised by how long it's been. Where does the time go? And how long has it been you ask? Well, the opened box of baking soda in the Ziploc bag marked "For Cookies" had a best used by date of 2012.
